Cloud Computing Links

The Web 2.0 hype has die down however more companies are deploying Web 2.0 like applications in Business, which is referred to as Enterprise 2.0. Most large businesses and Enterprises do not want to share details of their inner networks and applications, however many companies has seen the power of web services and wiki's and these technologies are quietly gaining adoption in the Enterprise.

One term that is tearing up the Internet is cloud computing. One reason for the discussion is the promise of increased savings on IT expenditures, and the fact that there is not a good definition for cloud computing. One reason that it is hard to define is the fact that the cloud computing services available today meet the needs of a broad group of customers, many with varying degrees of need and support.

To a desktop user, cloud computing is the ability to backup your files, or to make your desktop available wherever you go, to a startup, cloud computing gives you access to many sophisticated software solutions, that can be leveraged on a pay as you go basis, and for the established companies, cloud computing provides a low cost sandbox environment for R&D with the capabilities to scale quickly.
